When you plan a vessel, you can attach bay notes as required. Bay notes are additional instructions or comments that you include to record special conditions in bays. For example, you could include a note to explain that containers are to be restowed in a bay.
In the vessel profile view, XPS user color codes to indicate bay note icons, where:
Red icon () indicates a permanent note.
Yellow icon () indicates a custom note.
Yellow with a red background () indicates a permanent note with custom entries.
You can print bay notes in the Bay Notes report and, optionally, in stow plans and scan plans.
If you do not have edit permission for the vessel, bay notes are view-only information. In this case, the option changes to View Bay Note.
To attach or edit a bay note:
In the vessel profile view, select a bay.
From the Special drop-down list, select Edit Bay Note.
In the bay note dialog box, in the text field, enter your text.
You can enter up to 255 characters.
Click Save.
The bay note is saved and the bay note icon displays above or below the vessel, depending on whether you added the note to a bay above or below deck.
